Certificate in Graphic Design
Every single job is a challenge. You are walking into a new set, a new character, creating a world and trying to get comfortable to do your best work.
-- Felicia Day

The Pacific Northwest College of Art in downtown Portland, Oregon offers a certificate in Graphic Design that I will be completing Winter term 2016. PNCA moved to a new campus centered on Portland’s North Park Blocks in January 2015. The College’s new main campus flagship, the Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Center for Art and Design is located at 511 NW Broadway in an historic federal building completely renovated with a contemporary, light-filled interior designed by noted architect Brad Cloepfil of Allied Works Architecture.

PNCA offers lots of art classes, of course. They also have excellent courses in Adobe Creative Cloud such as Photoshop and Illustrator.

PNCA is an independent visual art and design college with an intimate ratio of 12 students to every faculty member. Students can earn a BFA in Animated Arts, Communication Design, General Fine Arts, Illustration, Intermedia, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, or Video and Sound under the guidance of professional, practicing artists and scholars.
